Our large facilities are intended to be flexible
to accommodate excess volume and continuity of service to guard
against interruption. Labstat operates 4 facilities totaling 41,500
square feet:
- 2 laboratory facilities at separate addresses
(31,000 square feet and 5,000 square feet); and
- an offsite, secure, long-term storage facility
in a controlled environment setting.
Our laboratory size provides us with
the flexibility to expand capacity if challenged with above normal
client requests. All of our facilities are secure to protect client
confidentiality, safeguard data and product, and maintain continuity
of service. Labstat has implemented a redundancy plan that ensures
continuity of service (Chemistry and Toxicology) if one laboratory
should be rendered inoperable for an extended period of time.
Our 2 laboratories operate daily and are located in separate buildings.
Each laboratory contains smoking machines, controlled environment
rooms, toxicology laboratories, and testing equipment.
CONTROLLED ENVIRONMENT ROOMS FOR SMOKING
AND CONDITIONING
Maintaining the conditioning atmosphere in the
test environment is essential to the success of tobacco product
evaluation. Our laboratories have a total of 7-controlled environment
rooms housing our smoking machines and related equipment as required
for ISO and FTC type smoking or client defined smoking regimes.
We also maintain one large partitioned controlled environment
room for conditioning all tobacco products.
TOXICOLOGY LABORATORIES
Each of our two laboratories
contain in-vitro toxicology facilities with capabilities that
include AMES, Neutral
Red (NRU), Micronucleus
and Sister Chromatid
Exchange testing.
